Echinacea Anyone?

What a weekend! First, I spend ALL DAY AND NIGHT Friday throwing up every last thing in my body (sorry for the visual) and now poor Avery is sounding like she has taken up a pack-a- day..(something she must have picked up at Chris' preschool) It is very hard to go to sleep when you have a 5 year old hacking in your ear every 30 seconds. Ask my sister Kim--Avery spent the night with her on Saturday--and I haven't heard the end of it. It's 1 am and Avery and I did just have a lovely conversation about who I loved most--her or Noble? and why hasn't she seen me read my Bible lately ::ouch:: At which point I told her to go back to coughing.

Kiah, you need to pull a John Travolta and live in a plastic bubble until Wednesday--Godspeed.

An open letter of apology to ERock and Lauren

I have got to get my act together. Today I abandoned Noble at the UCM (in the ladies restroom with his pants down, no doubt--probably screaming for someone-preferably me- to come wipe him...ahhh the joys of motherhood, but I digress) because I was late for picking up Avery from dance. I dash out of the restroom, accost Lauren and ask her to keep an eye on Noble. This was SSOO wrong of me. If it had been Avery left alone--no problemo--she could have cared less. Noble, on the other hand, would go ballistic at the thought of me leaving (yes, he is a bit of a mommas boy). Not to disappoint, I believe he had a bit of a hard time when he realized I was long gone. So, to Eric and Lauren--I am terribly sorry, but after all (to quote Thomas' woman) it does indeed take a village. (at least with me as matriarch)

Didn't know what else to blog about...

Why? peer pressure
What expressions do you use entirely too often? 'seriously'
Who would you pick to be your partner on Wheel of Fortune Best Friends Week? Well, since I will already be there with Rob on Random Blogging Friend Week--I will have to go with Ed--just for the laughs.
What do you like most about yourself? I am hardly ever in a bad mood
If you could only read one novel for the rest of your life, what would it be? I don't think I have ever read the same book twice--too many out there I haven't read
If you could pick your name, What would it be? Dakota (ok, not really..but how funny was that answer Scott Spencer)
Cake or cookies? Cookies
Flip-flops or sandals? Flip-flops
Tea or soda? soda? who says soda? Dr Pepper intraveneously throughout the day for me please
Sweats or pajama bottoms? PJs to sleep in, sweats to live in
Rainbow Brite or the Care Bears? Care Bears! Hi Carly!
Half-full or Half-empty? Always half-full
Sit or sprawl? Sprawl
Tile or wood floors? Wood
Fan or open window? Fan, aren't you people afraid something is going to come through your window?
What are you afraid of? Ticks and random things coming through my open window
Do you screen your calls? Contrary to what some (hello Cheryl and Carly) may believe
I do not screen my calls. If I don't want to talk, I don't even look to see who it is.
If you could paint a room any color, what would it be? I can paint a room any color. But yellow is my favorite.
Who is your favorite cartoon character? Way up high...in the Rolie Polie Sky, although The Backyardigans are gaining ground
Who do you call most frequently? Who do you talk to longest? Probably Amy--both counts
What do you do when it rains? (Umbrella, run for cover, stay inside, etc.) As proven yesterday, I run. Although I know I did not stay one bit drier.
How do you like your coffee? Ick
Ok, say you're stranded. Deserted island, all that jazz. You have all the necessities provided. What is the one luxury you take with you? Gotta go with Thomas on this one...Internet.

Does anyone have any good recipes for crow?

Ok, I will be the first to admit that when Boadie told me he was tired of changing diapers and was going to have Noble potty-trained by Monday--I had to stifle the laughter that was erupting from within. Just like a man isn't it? To think he can waltz in and fix a problem that a woman, a fully capable woman even, was having trouble with. Well he did it--and quite well I might add.

He and Noble ventured out to Satans House of Worship (thanks Jake) and bought a scary GI Joe knock-off whom they named Bob..Bob Peealotsky. Boadie instructed Noble that he was to take good care of Bob..take him everywhere..you know, the whole 'never leave a man behind' stuff. He also told Noble that Bob was having some bowel issues and needed help with the toilet. Noble loved helping Bob to and from the bathroom--and just as Boadie had anticipated--Noble started demonstrating to Bob how to 'go'. Well, fast forward just one day and Noble is out of diapers. Sure, we both anticipate some accidents--but for the most part he has got it. Color me impressed! Although, now I am sad I no longer have any babies in my house..I have been changing diapers for almost six years. 'Good riddance' I know most of you must be thinking---but to me it is a milestone that does come with some remorse.

OK, waxing diaper time is over..boo-hoo..I'm over it! YEAH!! NO MORE NASTY DIAPERS!!
