(By the way Thomas--I have seen it--it is blue...apologize, a stint on Judge Judy may ruin your presidential aspirations)

BLACK FRIDAY

Why oh why did I not listen to my instincts? Online shopping is the only way to go..I know this, I live this, I promote this. But no, today I had to stop by Walls (thank you very much David Pack). It was just too much, I was going to leave..but then I saw a fun blazer that was only $7 and I had to have it. I grab my purchase, analyze the check-out lines, decide on what I know will be the shortest and camp out. 30 minutes later I am leaving the store. Why didn't I just walk out? (leaving the blazer behind..no 5 finger discount) I had already given this store too much of my time...I had to see it through. The one woman who was in front of me spent $486.50--do you know how hard that is to do at WALL'S!! on a lighter note...
Tonight we decorated the Christmas tree. Avery and Noble wanted to do it all by themselves--what a wonderful job they did. (even if noble did eat 2 year old play-dough ornaments and everything is hung at the bottom of the tree) I wouldn't change it for anything.
I also got a great gift today from jake and abby cantrell...(www.jakeabby.com) . They gave me a very cool t-shirt! and I do have a thing for tees. Thanks! TK

Ticket to Ride

Since Thomas likes writing the lyrics to his favorite songs, and Vanessa likes making up obscure songs I have never heard of, and Aaron writes songs that make me want to cry...I thought I would share my musical interests--which are widely varied!! (although--sorry Jenna and Miranda--the only CMT I like is the video of Loretta Lynn and that guy from the White Stripes) Sorry also to Mrs P--I know a Rascal Flatts concert is in your future!

I love The Beatles...there, I said it..I feel better already. To anyone who has known me for any length of time, this will not come as a surprise--but my UCMers are now probably saying--I didn't think she was that old. To answer..I am not. But I have loved the Beatles since I can remember. In high school, my room was not decorated with pictures of Duran Duran or Vanilla Ice like my peers--but with posters of John, Paul, George and Ringo. ( By the way, contrary to most Beatlemaniacs, my favorite is not Paul--but Richard Starkey- a.k.a. Ringo Starr) Most of you are a little weirded out that I even knew his real name aren't you?
Favorite album--Rubber Soul
Favorite song--In My Life

I have even been to see Paul McCartney twice..( the first time- I cried--I realize how embarrassing that is and also how inappropriate, but I couldn't help myself..my seats were so close he could have spit on me...if only, but I digress)

Even more embarrassing than crying, is how many times I have been to see 1964..as the Beatles. And in further humiliation, I would like to add that my friend Meredith Roberts and I went backstage at one of these 'concerts' and got autographs. (my face is blusing as I am typing)
Their signatures were a little something like this...
'I wanna Hold your Hand..Bill Smith, as George Harrison' aahhh my brush with greatness!

That is all for now, I am about to self-combust with mortification, not about the Beatles mind you, but about my fanatic behavior.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for all my new friends...and my old.

HELP!

I think the pressure of a second post is greater than the first.

How about I take advice on child rearing? After reading Bryan's blog on how to raise children and work..(and then banging my head against the computer because I hadn't thought of Avery and Noble getting jobs) I thought I needed to open myself up more for suggestions. SO here it is- problemo number one...it is 10:20 pm...one down, one to go. Just when I think he is sound asleep, he slinks downstairs (race cars in hand). Before I can go Joan Crawford on him, he runs up to me-- puts my face in his hands and says ' Happy Balentines Day..I love you.' Now, I am not stupid enough to think he is in bed, upstairs, counting sheep..then all of a sudden is compelled to express the sweetness that is Noble. I am fully aware he is just wanting to check out what is going on and maybe snag another car on his way up. But what is a mom to do..(one that doesn't want her son in therapy someday saying he tried to tell his mom he loved her, but she just yelled at him to get into bed). Any ideas short of Benadryl? ( I know that would be your suggestion Vanessa--being the mom of a 2 year old yourself) Thanks! TK

Now I don't have anything to say....

I have been bugging poor Beach for a week to establish a blog for me-- Promising all sorts of witty stories, substantial postings, and colorful insights. Now, I realize I don't really have anything to say..yet alone anything with any entertainment value. I promise to try harder next time..(although not too hard, or I know everyone will make fun of me)
