HOO YAH

How about that rain last night? The electricity kept going out and waking me up every time. (My box fan kept going kaput). It is a necessary evil thanks to taking too many road trips with Amy. Now I can't sleep without one.

I know by writing this I am inviting trouble but here goes. So far, we have been pretty lucky dodging all the crud that is going around. And we have been pretty daring. From drinking after Kiah (before she started to sound like Elmer Fudd) to spending copious amounts of time in the sandbox with little Will 'pink-eye' Lawson--we Andersons have had a successful, fun and healthy spring break. That said--I better run, I don't think this computer desk is made out of real wood.

(By the way Beach--you missed Platoon today in class--did anyone remember Johnny Depp being in that movie?)

Happy Birthday Amy!!

I am constantly amazed at the friends God has given me. Two of my very special friends share a birthday today--2/3 Amy's. These two ladies have been a steady stream of support to me, especially this past year. Happy Birthday Amy L and Amy J!

Red Rum Red Rum

It is only Monday of spring break and already I am feeling a little like Jack Nicholson and I am living in The Overlook Hotel. This is only accentuated by the fact that Noble keeps running his dump truck up and down the wood floors. Up and down ...up and down...up and down....

I love having this time with my kids, but I think we are all accustomed to DOING something, anything. This morning we all just sat and looked at each other like---'OK...now what??' Part of the problem is that we are still trying to make this place feel like home. Most of their toys are still at the other house. So, we are going to use this time to revisit the days of Laura Ingalls Wilder (that is, if she had cable and a x-box). We are going to sew our own clothes, bake our own bread, and torment little Nellie Olsen..(hey, you think she is related to MK and Ashley?)
Kiah--look that up would ya? I know how you love a good teeny bopper flick.

Ouch--I'm missing The Road Rules/Real World Challenge--gotta run.

By the way--if anybody wants to take me to see the Pokes play Friday I will make myself available. They could go all the way......

You're The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!

by Douglas Adams

Considered by many to be one of the funniest people around, you are
quite an entertainer. You've also traveled to the far reaches of what you deem possible,
often confused and unsure of yourself. Life continues to jostle you around like a marble,
but it's shown you so much of the world that you don't care. Wacky adventures continue to
lie ahead. Your favorite number is 42.

Movin' on up...to the East side..

Sorry I have been out of the blogging loop--I am without a computer for the time being. So I am being forced to commandeer the UCM student computer for a few seconds. No one tell Scott- I am supposed to be working.

The good news is I am pretty much ALL moved in. Granted, I have no computer and I have been wearing the same shoes for the past few days--but for the most part I am all done. On a side-note--it is kind of refreshing to only have your tennis shoes to wear.

Saying 'I' am all done might be a stretch as well--I have had LOTS of help. Not to sound like a broken record--but thanks to everyone! OK--better run--gotta go pay some bills before they cut off the UCM cable. (I would probably have 50 college students starting a riot on Foliage if THAT happened.--maybe they would just cut off ESPN--I love SportsCenter as much as the next guy- but HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU WATCH THE SAME SHOW WITHIN A DAY??)
