Ticket to Ride

Since Thomas likes writing the lyrics to his favorite songs, and Vanessa likes making up obscure songs I have never heard of, and Aaron writes songs that make me want to cry...I thought I would share my musical interests--which are widely varied!! (although--sorry Jenna and Miranda--the only CMT I like is the video of Loretta Lynn and that guy from the White Stripes) Sorry also to Mrs P--I know a Rascal Flatts concert is in your future!

I love The Beatles...there, I said it..I feel better already. To anyone who has known me for any length of time, this will not come as a surprise--but my UCMers are now probably saying--I didn't think she was that old. To answer..I am not. But I have loved the Beatles since I can remember. In high school, my room was not decorated with pictures of Duran Duran or Vanilla Ice like my peers--but with posters of John, Paul, George and Ringo. ( By the way, contrary to most Beatlemaniacs, my favorite is not Paul--but Richard Starkey- a.k.a. Ringo Starr) Most of you are a little weirded out that I even knew his real name aren't you?
Favorite album--Rubber Soul
Favorite song--In My Life

I have even been to see Paul McCartney twice..( the first time- I cried--I realize how embarrassing that is and also how inappropriate, but I couldn't help myself..my seats were so close he could have spit on me...if only, but I digress)

Even more embarrassing than crying, is how many times I have been to see 1964..as the Beatles. And in further humiliation, I would like to add that my friend Meredith Roberts and I went backstage at one of these 'concerts' and got autographs. (my face is blusing as I am typing)
Their signatures were a little something like this...
'I wanna Hold your Hand..Bill Smith, as George Harrison' aahhh my brush with greatness!

That is all for now, I am about to self-combust with mortification, not about the Beatles mind you, but about my fanatic behavior.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for all my new friends...and my old.

Tiffany, I AM telling my age now...the very first album I bought with my own money, was "Rubber Soul". "Norweigen Wood "is my favorite. I was a very big John Lennon fan. I can remember exactly what I was doing and where I was when I heard the news he had been murdered. So sad,... I have many and varied musical tastes! I like country, rock and roll, and blues and even some hip-hop. Happy Thanksgiving! Roz (NOT MRS PACK!)

Aaron--it is not bad when girls cry..that means your music is eliciting an emotional response..which is a good thing..(besides, I cried at Paul McCartney for petes sake..what better company!)

I'm not exactly sure what i am, but i'm thinking more beatles, because the fact that elvis died a fat druggie bothers me. and i never liked his hair.

Once, when I drove to Crosspoint from Lone Wolf, I listened for three hours to Elvis. His live album.
