Prayers Please
My sister-in-law Tracey (married to my older brother Mitch--they live in Norman --3 adorable kids) had a MRI today on some spots they found during her annual mammogram. They called her back this evening and she has to go in for a biopsy tomorrow morning. She is completely 'freaked out' (who wouldn't be??) Please remember her in your prayers this evening/morning.
I am so thankful that I have so many friends who are 'prayer warriors.' You have weathered me through many a storm when I did not know how to pray. (That goes for you too Cherylina!!) How great is our God who will let others intercede for us when we are ' freaked out ' or when we are just afraid to pray for God's will to be done. (does that even make sense to anyone--does to me--I can remember praying fervently for Mike Dicus to be healed--NOT for God's will to be done..it was a phrase I couldn't ever wrap my brain around--still have problems with that one)
Anyway--thanks in advance for the prayers that I know will be offered for Tracey. Love you all.
Good Night--
TK
Roz--hope it doesn't snow us out tomorrow--or worse--hope it doesn't snow out your trip to New Mexico.. Avery will be really sad if she sees anything less that 8 inches of the white stuff tomorrow--she has been teaching Noble how to make snow angels all night :)

Hey, I showed you to my brother (spaghetti pic, from Scott's blog). Hehe, he says, if he didn't have a girlfriend he'd say you were cute, but the Amy prevents it. And he thinks you look younger than me. SO, either you lie about your age, or I look ancient.

one of my favorite quotes about prayer is "pray as you can, not as you can't"

We went outside and Dustin wanted to 'make a me in the snow' so he flopped down and started flapping. SOO funny. Then he demonstrated for my mom in the kitchen.

Tiff! I bet Avery is loving the snow! What a dreamy day for a child! :) I will pray for Tracey. I ditto your sentiments about others that pray when you can't. I have had times also when I couldn't pray and others had to stand in the gap for me. I too am thankful.

Tiff, I will certainly pray for your sister-in-law. I enjoyed our lunch today. I do know what you mean about prayer. I remember telling someone on the phone, the morning I got the news that I had lost my dad...that I couldn't find anything in me to pray...this wonderful woman informed me that she believed that when that happenes, the Holy Spirit steps in and intervenes for us. Sometimes in the form of putting you on the heart of some other prayer warrior. I've always remembered that, and I try very hard to remember anytime I feel a nudge...someone on my mind, or just a passing thought about a long lost friend, to offer up a prayer for them. Who knows what they might be going through?

Snow out YOUR trip? I wish it had snowed out mine. Christmas Eve we're going to go spend time with the family from psycho-land. My mom and grandma just started talking again Tuesday (after the Thanksgiving debaucle?(sp)). Promises lots of fun.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, TIFF!

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane.
Vixen, Blitzen, all his reindeer
Pulling on the reins.
Bells are ringing, children singing,
All is merry and bright.
Hang your stockings and say a prayer,'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane.
He's got a bag that's filled with toys
For boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle,
What a beautiful sight.
Jump in bed and cover up your head,
Because Santa Claus comes tonight.
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane.
He doesn't care if you're a rich or poor boy,
He loves you just the same.
Santa knows that we're God's children,
That makes everything right.
Fill your hears with Christmas cheer,'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Well, here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane.
He'll come around when the chimes ring out
It's Christmas morn again.
Peace on Earth will come to all
If we just follow the light
Let's give thanks to the Lord above,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
